Square Enix announces Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis server termination after 3 years

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis recently announced its end of service. The developers were previously discussing the game’s support, but recognized it couldn’t maintain the online RPG any longer. The online servers will be terminated for both mobile and Steam on October 6, 2026, at 11:00 pm PST.

Along with the termination notice is the immediate closure of Red Crystals sales. The currency is still usable before the game’s upcoming closure. Anyone in Taiwan with leftover paid Red Crystals is eligible for refunds, which the developers plan to explain later before the end of service.

Despite the end, the game is still running special events for its final season, starting with Before Crisis Final Fantasy VII Turks Business Chapter 1 on July 8, 2026, at 7:00 PM PDT. Square Enix will provide more updates for the game’s remaining support until its final day of service; October 6, 2026.
