Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was met with mixed reviews. In our review, we noted the game had solid gunplay, crisp audio design, and memorable moments. While the player count has seemed to dwindle and parent company Warner Bros. has deemed the game a failure, developer Rocksteady seems to still have the green light to work on future content, as evidenced by the upcoming first season. Hopefully, the seasons of content are free of any game-breaking bugs, like the one included in the game at the launch of early access that would automatically complete the game.
Speaking of the first season of content, it looks to add so many needed elements to the game. At the forefront of the update is a new playable character, The Joker. Hailing from a different universe, this Joker is at the start of his criminal career. Alongside The Joker are new gear, weapons, a new grenade type, a new world to explore, and so much more. It’s truly exciting to see so much content coming to the game, as this was what the game sorely lacked at launch.
Other potential characters coming to the game include Mister (or perhaps Miss) Freeze, who was leaked due to a bugged voice line, Lawless aka Zoe Lawton, Deathstroke aka Slade Wilson, Killer Croc, and Katana. These characters were leaked before release and potentially confirmed in the game, with a picture teasing the additions at the end.
A few of the choices would be interesting to see and have connections to characters currently in the game. Deathstroke and Deadshot are shown to have a rivalry in-game, with characters taunting Deadshot and comparing him to the latter. Having both characters active in your party could add some natural humor to the game instead of the at-times forced comedy.Â
This 40% discount is applied to both the normal and digital deluxe editions and is live until March 21. With the first season releasing on March 28, now is the perfect time for any players who were unsure to dive into the game.
