Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is continuing to face issues as it nears its full release, with a dumbfounding early access glitch leading to the game getting paused. The co-op pseudo-live-service superhero romp is still facing mounting controversy.

VGC reports that Deluxe Edition players, which includes the ability to play 72 hours early, were in for quite a surprise when they logged in and found that they had a 100% story completion. Only an hour after New Zealanders got a hold of the game, Rocksteady pulled the servers to perform some maintenance, as expressed on Twitter.

Weโ€™re aware that a number of players are currently experiencing an issue whereby upon logging into the game for the first time, they have full story completion.

To resolve this issue, we will be performing maintenance on the game servers.

During this time the game will beโ€ฆ

Not too long later, Rocksteady returned to assure fans that it’s found the source of the issue and is currently implementing a fix. It hopes to have the game online as soon as possible, but it also makes no mention as to whether it will issue partial refunds to Deluxe Edition players, as they no longer have the promised 72 hours in the more expensive plan.

We have identified the problem that was affecting player profiles and are currently testing a fix.

We hope to implement it and have the game back online as soon as possible.

Frankly, we hope it does, as it will just add more fuel to the bitter fire of controversies that this game is part of. After all, the game is not seeing great first impressions and we’re sure it won’t just suddenly see glowing reviews after it launches.

More Smash Jump: New State of Play is planned for later this week, Square Enix preps for the release of Dragon Quest Builders, and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth almost ran on three disks.
