Tomb Raider Remastered Easter egg may tease Tomb Raider 4 remaster

Aspyr released the remaster of the first three Tomb Raider games, and one eagle-eyed fan might’ve caught a teaser for the next game in the lineup. Naturally, this could be a case of looking too deep into something.

Spotted by Twitter user DantheDan20, he shared an image of the game with with the top left showcasing Tomb Raider I-III Remastered’s release date while the bottom left showed off coordinates that pinpointed to Giza, a significant location in Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation. This in and of itself got fans excited, but as pointed out by GameRant, this isn’t the only instance of the dev slipping in a potential teaser for what’s to come.

If all this is true, then then fans have a lot to be excited for, as The Last Revelation is coined as one of the best in the series. Additionally, it’s all too possible that more of the older entries that have largely been lost to time will get remasters. Many hope that it will extend to the failure that was Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, which simply fell flat due to its bugs more than anything, with fans feeling it had potential to be great. This was the last game developed before Crystal Dynamics took the reign and rebooted the series with 2006’s Legend.

Perhaps with the success of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, Aspyr might look at remastering all the older games pre-Crystal Dynamics. After all, these games range from the mid-90s to the early 2000s and can certainly use a modern design touch.
