Adult Swim has revealed at San Diego Comic-Con that a new series is coming starring Keith David known as President Curtis. Also, yes, it’s set in the same universe as Rick and Morty, as you may suspect.
Announced at San Diego Comic-Con as David took the stage (via IGN), President Curtis follows Andre Curtis as he and his staff deal with the stuff Rick Sanchez “could never be bothered with.”
It’s also supposedly a show that had a fighting chance to get greenlit even if it wasn’t linked to Rick and Morty, according to Adult Swim president, Michael Ouweleen. Meanwhile, co-creator Dan Harman described it as “more X-Files than Doctor Who” and something that would “only be boring to Rick.”
Currently, there is no launch date for President Curtis.
