Terraria will “never die” if there is “one last final update”

Terraria developer Re-Logic is now back from holiday break and has one goal — to push out its final update. Now, whether or not this is the case remains to be seen.

On Bluesky, lead developer Andrew Spinks addressed that since he’s back from break, his “game face” is on and he’s looking at releasing said update. Now, while fans would fear that this will mean no more new content, Re-Logic has been notorious for labeling updates as its final, only to release new content updates down the line.

We are back to work tomorrow and I’ve got one single mission: releasing the final update. My game face is on

Responding to a fan commenting on that very loop, Spinks said that the game will never die if there is “one last final update.”

Terraria will never die as long as there is one last final update

Considering the success of the Terraria IP, we can’t blame Re-Logic from delaying moving on. It’s been rather quiet besides a single GIF in terms of what we can expect from this next update. As of late, though, it partnered up with Palworld developer Pocketpair to introduce Terraria-themed items to the open world pal catching simulator.
