Atlus cooperates with Mappa to create the new animations for Persona 4 Revival

Atlus recently participated in the Anime Expo Lite 2026 to reveal the newly animated scenes for Persona 4 Revival. The animations are confirmed to be the work of Mappa Studio, animators for Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen.

The new scene showcased in the event was the very early beginning when the Investigation Team faced the shadows. It showed the enemies’ aggressiveness towards any prey, making the protagonist suddenly discover the chance to awaken his foolish powers.

To celebrate the announcement and 30 years of Persona, Atlus has released the previous animations for Persona 4 and Persona 4 Golden on YouTube. Anyone can watch the shows on Aniplex USA’s official channel for free for a limited time. Until then, Atlus will deliver more news and details about P4 Revival over time before its official launch.
