Biomutant releasing on the Switch in May

Releasing to middling reception, Experiment 101’s 2021 game, Biomutant, is finally making its way to the Switch. The developer isn’t handling the port, that goes to another team under the THQ Nordic umbrella.

The news comes from a recently released video from THQ Nordic announcing that the post-apocalyptic romp is heading out the door in March. Last we heard, it was announced back in May 2023 with a November launch, but obviously that didn’t happen. The port is being handled by Gloomhaven, TimeShift, and Snowrunners dev, Saber Interactive.

Based on the footage seen in the trailer, which says it’s captured from the hybrid console, it will hopefully run at a playable rate, though, we doubt the game itself will run at 60fps like the trailer with it noticeably being a downgrade compared to other versions, and with the game largely having its visuals going for it, that’s not the greatest compromise, but at least other elements like its gameplay remain intact from the looks of it.
