Promenade dev working on “totally different” new game

Promenade developer Holy Cap Studios is working on a new game that’s in the prototype phase. It should be noted that not only are details light, but there’s obviously a chance that it might not even come out.

In an exclusive interview with Smash Jump, creative director and Promenade dev, Maxence Plou, tells us that the team is working on a prototype of something “very different” compared to its recently released indie hit. From our understanding, it’s gonna be an online multiplayer versus game that bridges the gap between a platforming fighter and sports game.

That’s all the details he’s divulged, as largely, it’s still in the prototype phase and all too possible that the team will change direction and work on something else. We here at Smash Jump are very excited to see what type of game the dev will release next, though, we don’t expect any updates for a while, as Holy Cap’s debut game took four years to make, and as Plou said, it is “really refreshing to work on something new.”

The full interview will be made available on Smash Jump’s YouTube channel.
