SAO: Last Recollection will be receiving a new DLC, Ritual of Bonds, very soon

It’s almost time to begin the Ritual of Bonds, as the DLC for Sword Art Online: Last Recollection has received a release date. Ritual of Bonds Volume 1 is coming sooner than expected, releasing on January 25.

In the Ritual of Bonds DLC, join Kirito and the legendary heroines of Sword Art Online to investigate a mysterious new dungeon. But there is a catch: the dungeon can only be entered in pairs. Spend time with characters as you learn more about them, form relationships, and ultimately put your bonds on the line. This news was revealed via a press release by publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment.

Sword Art Online: Last Recollection is based on the War of the Underworld arc, in a what-if timeline if Kirito and his friends made it through the War of the Underworld. The game was met with mixed reviews. Most players loved the story, but that was about it, as the rest of the game seemed to be a step down from previous entries. With no solid relationships or dating features that many fans looked forward to, the game had to rely on its combat, and without traditional RPG grinding and linear levels, it fell flat.

Dive into the mysterious dungeon of Obsidia Castle Town and utilize your bonds to make it through to the end. SAO Last Recollection is currently available on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
