The absolute trainwreck that was The Day Before will soon not be playable as the servers are going to shut down. Publisher Mytona extended its gratitude for supporting the release.
After a brief stint of inactivity, The Day Before Twitter announced that without the development team of Fntastic, the game can’t continue operations and that the servers are shutting down. This isn’t shocking, but it is rather bitter as during its closure announcement, Fntastic did say servers would remain operational.
Due to its closure, Propnight, the other game developed by Fntastic and published by Mytona, will also see its servers shutting down on the same day — January 22, 2024. Unlike The Day Before, though, there does seem to be a rather noticeable community that will miss it. It felt like a filler game that definitely played more to Fntastic’s strengths rather than its bizarre high-ambition MMO that turned out not to be an MMO with its dev team not even knowing what it was supposed to be.
Meanwhile, its CEO has taken to scrubbing his LinkedIn, while the studio asserts that refunds are in-bound.
