It’s up to the fans to name Silent Hill: The Short Message’s monster. Given a few choices, it will be interesting to see what the fans’ votes are for.

As noticed by our friends at PlayStation LifeStyle, the official social media page for Silent Hill is currently hosting this vote for the name of the creature. There are four names to choose from, which are Cherry Blossom Monster, Sakura Creature, Sakura Head, and Sakura Body. This is in part a celebration of the creator, Masahiro Ito, of Silent Hill, who designed his first monster in 20 years.

Concept Artist Masahiro Ito's monster in SILENT HILL: The Short Message is the first time in 20 years that he's designed a new creature for the series.

We want to give our fans the chance to officially name his new creation. Cast your vote below.#SilentHill #SHTSM

Silent Hill: The Short Message is a free-to-play title for PlayStation 5 and sees a divided return to the Silent Hill series. Fan expectations of the remake of Silent Hill 2 were raised even higher after this release. This is because Silent Hill 2 is one of the most beloved entries to the series. Other announced Silent Hill titles are also in development, such as Silent Hill F, Townfall, and a new movie titled Return to Silent Hill.ย

Later tomorrow, we will know the official name of the monster from The Short Message as voted by the fans.

More Smash Jump: A new trailer dropped forย Promenade, Daniel analyzes if the Console Wars are over, and Luke reviews theย Tomb Raider I-III remastered collection.
