The top-down action game, The Precinct, has announced that it’s delaying its release to Fall of this year after promising an August launch. With the additional time, developer Fallen Tree Games will fine-tune the gameplay and fix lingering bugs.
Over on Steam, the developer alongside its publisher, Kwalee, revealed the news. Its previous release of August 15 simply wasn’t enough time to make the game the best it could be, so instead of releasing the game fixing it later, Fallen Tree made the decision to pull the reigns in and release the game later this year.
To keep fans engaged, a new trailer was released showing us what we can expect when the game does eventually come out.
Inspired by the classic top-down GTA games, The Precinct flips the script with you playing as a rookie cop chasing down dastardly criminals. At this time, Fallen Tree hasn’t given us a clue when the game will launch outside of the broad “Fall 2024” window.
