A24 is raring to bring CMC’s Chinese animated mega-hit, Ne Zha 2, to a western audience next month. Moreover, Wicked’s Michelle Yeoh is in the voice cast.

Variety reports the film will hit the English-speaking world, specifically the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand in late August. Speaking on her involvement, Yeoh is excited to bring the experience to English speakers.

โ€œSharing this with audiences in English is such a joy, and I canโ€™t wait for everyone to experience the wonder, heart, spectacular artistry and magic of this film on the big screen.โ€

Ne Zha 2 was made with just $80 million and managed to come out on top with $2.2 billion and snagging a handful of records in the process. It’s become the highest-grossing animated film, highest-grossing non-English language film, and among the top five highest-grossing films of all-time.

Ne Zha 2 releases to the English-speaking audiences on August 22.
