Capcom opens up new job position for new development of Street Fighter

in News

January 7, 2026

Street Fighter has greatly developed over time to refresh its fighting experience for modern players, like the new V-gauge features introduced in the latter support of Street Fighter V. Street Fighter 6 earned some battle adjustments, though its gameplay design has remained consistently similar to its launch version in June 2023. The community has wondered when the Street Fighter 6 formula will evolve, which may happen soon.

Capcom recently opened up a job opening for a Fighting Game Battle Planner. The position is responsible for managing in-game modes, balancing updates, character planning, and more. This will greatly affect the development of Street Fighter, including the latter support of Street Fighter 6. It could even open up a new season with newer fighters like A.K.I.
