A datamine has uncovered two more Warner Bros. IPs are getting tossed into Player First Games’ MultiVersus — Barbie and Harry Potter. The info we have, we’ll note seems pretty rough, so it’s possible the maps could get scrapped before officially introduced.
Twitter user AusilMV (via VGC) shared images of maps that look in a rough state. In terms of Harry Potter, that IP was apparently had a big part in early pitches of PFG’s free-to-play Smash-like brawler. Right now, though, all we have is the stage, with no character officially from the IP heading to the game.
Barbie, on the other hand, makes a lot of sense, similar to Harry Potter, the only thing we can say for sure is a stage was buried in the depths that looks akin to Barbie’s home from last year’s smash-hit film.
Earlier this week, it was uncovered that Warner Bros. predictably bought out MultiVersus developer Player First Games after partnering with the studio to produce the brawler. The brawler was re-released in May after a brief bout in early access. Since its re-release, it’s faced backlash, released new characters, and removed some old ones.
MultiVersus is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
