Microsoft is introducing a new subscription service akin to its already very well-established Game Pass with a focus on the ever-growing Minecraft. Dubbed Marketplace Pass, it will give Bedrock players access to packs to spice up their gaming experience.
As noted on the official website, Marketplace Pass offers 150+ pieces of content for a palpable monthly price, though, you obviously need to own the game itself and can play without these added bits of content. The content for subscribers is poised to change on a monthly basis with skin packs, texture packs, mashups, adventure worlds, and more found within.
To sweeten the pot, you also get a Realms Plus subscription with Marketplace Pass. All that said, we can’t help but shrug at this offering, as it’s solely for those who play Bedrock Edition while those sticking to the vastly more freedom-centered Java Edition can get all this content and more without a monthly fee.
We want to make it clear, there is a space for Marketplace Pass, after all, Bedrock is the foundation for Minecraft’s mobile and all versions of console releases.
