Red Dead Redemption looks to be coming to PC

Rockstar Games appears to have leaked the acclaimed Red Dead Redemption is heading to PC. This follows the PS4 port that dropped last year.

In now-deleted info from the PSN description, according to Wario64, Rockstar exclaims for players to experience the western adventure “now on PC for the first time ever.” Smash Jump can also confirm the existence of the now-deleted line. Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard of this rumor, but this is harder to deny.

Red Dead Redemption PC version teased on…PSN

"Experience the epic western adventures that defined a generation — now on PC for the first time ever."

Later in the description, it also notes PC-specific features, such as “increased resolutions and framerates, multiple displays, and other accessories, plus spatial surround sound.”

The weirdest thing is the way it was leaked — on PSN. Most likely, this was a premature update that was meant to go live after some sort of announcement, probably during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 20.

Red Dead Redemption was released back in 2010 as a Grand Theft Auto-like spaghetti western game on the Xbox 360 and PS3. You play as John Marston, a career-criminal-turned-farmer who was forced to face his old gang in order to save his family. It’s a touching story that garnered a lot of acclaim at the time.
